Rotarian and computer expert Valerie Beaudoin provided tips and encouraged members to use three Rotary websites at the August 21st meeting.  Handy online tools include private contact information for the use of our members, interesting Rotary stories, calendars of events, Rotary news and much more.  Each member was asked to check their personal info for accuracy.  If passwords and log-ins have been forgotten, she will help members reset them. The three websites include:  www.leesburg-rotary.org (club); www.rotary7610.org (District); and www.rotary.org (international)

Her presentation was followed by a synopsis and video of the Rotary International Convention 2014 held in Sydney, Australia. Past President Judy Smith and her husband Mal Owen attended. Judy shared highlights that included Past RI Presidents Ron Burton's inspiration and passion to leverage our investments in youth activities such as Interact, RYLA, exchange students and scholarship recipients. She told a few stories including one about a humorous keynote Jack Sim, who founded the World Toilet Organization.  Pictures of the stunning Australian landscape ended the review along with encouragement to consider future conventions to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil; South Korea and Atlanta in the next three years.
