Last year the Leesburg Rotary Club donated $500 towards the $1,500 distribution costs for wheelchairs in Macedonia.
Last year the Leesburg Rotary Club donated $500 towards the $1,500 distribution costs for wheelchairs in Macedonia. The club recently received confirmation that this equipment was purchased and distributed. The liaisons for the project wrote: "Thanks for all of your support for the wheelchair project. Rotary International matched the funds raised so we had $21,000 for the purchase of the container of wheelchairs. We identified recipients and ordered the correct sizes of wheelchairs. Manufacturing and shipping took about three months. So far 200 wheelchairs were distributed, among which 30 in Kumanovo and 40 in Tetovo region."
