Gregory Brown became the Town of Leesburg’s fifth Chief of Police at a swearing in ceremony on Sept. 29. Brown replaced club member Joseph Price, who retired in March. Formerly a captain with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Brown was most recently commander of the Eastern Loudoun Station. He previously supervised patrol operations, criminal investigations and undercover operations in vice, narcotic and gangs with the Sheriff’s Office. In addition, he has served as the Deputy Director overseeing all Basic Law Enforcement Training at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.
