The Rotary Club of Leesburg will host a highly sought-after, guest speaker, whom we are fortunate to lure to Leesburg on Thursday evening, Dec 5th at 6:30 pm.  Georgetown Professor Laura Donohue is an expert, author, and commentator on national security and counterterrorism.

She is a professor of law at Georgetown and the Director of Georgetown’s Center on National Security and the Law..  Her most recent book is The Cost of Counterterrorism: Power, Politics, and Liberty (Cambridge University Press).

Her many speaking engagements range from Google's international headquarters to a bipartisan security think tank of our nation's leaders. She is currently writing on drones, the War Powers Resolution, and emerging technologies. Her credentials include prestigious roles at Harvard and Stanford....and this list is only a small glimpse into this woman's incredible resume.

Non-Rotarians can register to attend this meeting at River Creek Country Club by contacting us at jsmith@shbajo.com.
