The Stanley Caulkins Memorial Project has finally been installed and unveiled last Saturday. The sculpture honoring Stanley was unveiled to a crowd of more than 100, including VFW members, Rotarians, the entire Leesburg Town Council, former Leesburg Mayor Robert Sevila, Loudoun County Sheriff Michael Chapman, and Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burke. The ceremony began at 10 a.m. with a performance by the West Point Alumni Glee Club of classic World War II tune “(There’ll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs Of Dover,” followed by a color guard presentation by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1177.
